If there is a list of things to not make a mess of, your future has to be high on the list. Yet so many of us including myself have a made quite the mess in the past. But that is the key…it’s the past and you are always at choice for your next move. Every decision that you make is creating your ultimate destiny. Everything you do and who you really are determines what you will ultimately achieve.
When you drop all the excuses and but’s, should have’s and could have’s that are holding you back from living your dreams, a whole new world of possibilities will open up to you.
So how do you know if it is working? Well, when you commit to changing your life and tapping into your dreams and start taking action steps towards your goals; there are telltale signs that you are on the right track…
You notice opportunities that have ‘all of a sudden’ come to light. Whatever you had wanted starts to manifest in your life. You have more energy that is fueled by your perseverance, persistence and passion. Who needs willpower, you have a new drug…a vision and a goal.
You become a sponge… thirsty for new knowledge to get you closer to your goals. You start applying what you are learning and you are not settling for mediocre.
Your self image and self-talk improves; you can see now who the future you wants to be. You have a strong ‘why’ so you don’t worry about it anymore.
You’re no longer chasing happiness; luck and miracles become your norm. The right people will come into your life. “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” You will have enough time and money to get moving.
Even if you have some doubts and want to quit you will dig deeper for answers. Some failures are inevitable and necessary, that’s feedback. But as the famous quote goes; “A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” I love how my clients from 3-5 years ago still tell me that they hear my words of encouragement and positivity to remind themselves of their greatness, tenacity and will, that gets them through the hard times when they are feeling a lot of self-doubt.
You don’t settle for the status-quo, you make your own trail and keep connecting the dots to live your dreams.
You have freedom. Freedom from triviality and mediocrity. You don’t limit what you can have, you travel regularly if that is important to you and meet new people that are on the same path as you. Your friends may change especially if they are settling in their lives.
Money is simply a means to an end. Money is a tool. It allows you to make better choices to accomplish what you feel inspired to accomplish. It ripples into all areas of your life; your relationship with your partner-kids-friends-family, your business, your work.
You don’t avoid being responsible, blaming others for your circumstances. It’s like injecting yourself with motivation steroids—perseverance and desperation. When you are desperate to change your financial situation you track and know your numbers and make a budget. When you are desperate to be healthy, you eat right (track and know your numbers here too!) and exercise. You are done with the excuses and you no longer mindlessly surfing Facebook.
You will most likely inspire someone else to live their dreams, which to me is the best ripple. You will ooze authenticity and you are committed to living on purpose…yours.
So please stop making excuses, change is possible and probable when you make the decision and draw that line in the sand to not settle anymore. We all have limited time so make sure you’re spending it on something that is worth it and enjoy the journey.
Much love ♥
